Trainer group meeting held on Thursday 12 January 2006 at Embleton Hall, Longframlington.

Dates of this years meetings

2nd March – 6pm

May event 11th / 12th May- start 2pm thurs all day Friday (9am-4pm) with dinner on the Thursday evening at 7 pm. Please can as many as possible stay for dinner when discussion re current GPRs and aims for Friday to be discussed. As few seem to stay the night we have not as yet reserved rooms at Embleton Hall, however there are rooms available. Could those wishing to stay let others in the group know and book rooms direct with Trevor.

Content of May Event

Various proposals of topics for the May event were discussed proposals included, diversity, EBM, Video tutorial skills/ feedback skills and the challenging registrars. It was decided that we will ask Julie Eccles and Dave Morgan to facilitate a meeting re GPRS with difficulties to include feedback skills, diversity, documentation etc, those present discussed various aims to present to the facilitators including:

Feedback

Struggling Registrars

Cultural Diversity

Paperwork/ Recording

Procedures if difficulties discovered

Common difficulties for non UK Graduates

The law

Teaching

If any one has suggestions for other areas to be covered please put suggestions to group

Caroline to request further Section 63 forms when speakers contacted

Emotional Competence Inventories were handed out to all present for use with GPRs
