Trainer group meeting held on Thursday 7 July 2005 at Embleton Hall, Longframlington.

REPORTING IN
Reporting-in - aside from a few grumbles about the MRCGP obsessions of some registrars, no one reported any significant issues at present.

May event feedback - the prevailing view was that this had been a useful introduction to NLP although some mild reservations about the pace (bit too slow) and method (perhaps not everything demonstrated needed to be followed by a group exercise) were expressed.

Budget - of the £350 per group available, only £300.80 has been claimed so far as a result of Keith's help in getting other reps to help pay for the may event. Thus £49.20 left, although Gary confirmed that not using it would not mean even less being available in future years.

NVTS update - Gary discussed a number of issues which will be explained in detail in a forthcoming email from graham rutt. Subjects discussed were: training in OOH; implications of PMETB; new GP training curriculum from RCGP; radical MRCGP & SA changes from 2007 onwards; the new structure of GP training in relation to the switch to F1 and F2.

Next meetings - 8th sept 2-5pm (emotional intelligence questionnaire use is on the agenda); 3rd nov 6-8pm (graham rutt attending).
