billy has sent ooh statement to paul creighton
we noted uncertainties re training ooh beyond 2004
noted updated 'appointment..' document, in particular need for unified records
mutually supportive discussion took place
was very positive in terms of venue, organisation and content. northumberland has reimbursed accom costs but john anderson from cumbria has only had partial reimbursement and pfizer have been asked to assist with this shortfall
karen and stephen (neither present) have done this, 3 further pairs billy and gareth, graham and caroline, saul and brad may attempt this before nov meeting and report back. there was some expressed reluctance due principally to time factors
now 10 members of smart group, some discussion re utility but main concerns expressed re difficulties signing up, especially from NHS adressses
there was enthusiasm for doing useful work at NNTG meetings but much less about tasks to be undertaken at other times. we have agreed to assess peer appraisal in nov, but main suggestion was to contibute to joint discussion of particular areas of training at future meetings and compare differing practices - we agreed in nov meeting to bring and discuss documentation for tutorials. curriculum planning and involvement of other partners and team members may be future topics. garys offer of psychology roadshow would also be explored
thursday 6 november 18.00 with dinner at 20.00
