Trainer group meeting held on 14th June, 2001 at Embleton Hall, Longframlington.

Members of the the group discussed their current training successes and difficulties

Embleton Hall Feedback 

The event was well received by the group. The material produced, after the course. by Julie Draper was discussed and was thought to provide a useful framework for looking at video teaching sessions. It was thought that the most valuable phase of the event was looking at each others teaching videos and discussing it in a supportive setting. It was thought that much was gained by this being done in a group context and it was proposed that this method should be used as part of our developing peer appraisal system. Brad will add the material from Julie to the web site

Peer Appraisal Visits 

These have not taken place. It was thought that we had initially proposed an unrealistic time frame for these visits.It was proposed that they should be re-attempted with our next batch of trainees before X-mas 2001.There was some discussion as to what form these visits should take but it was agreed that we should ' have a go' this time and learn from the successes and failures.

AOB 

Dave reported that there were potential vacancies for video assessors as part of summative assessment
