Much of the usual supportive discussion
Embleton Hall, NLP Course – finance update – CJS to ask MG about repayments.
Mike and Gary reported that:
Tynedale Questionnaire to be updated and numerical reviews of trainer’s performance to be stopped.
Hospital visiting of local hospital posts to be imposed by Professor Van Zwanenburg as trainers group responsibility. CJS to write to Tim Van Zwanenburg re costing. We are apparently to be responsible for Wansbeck, St Georges and St Oswald’s Hospice.
Dates:
29.11.00. - Mike Dodd to be accompanied by possibly CJS to St Georges. 1
3.12.00.- Gary Fraser to be accompanied by Stuart to WGH.
Number of Trainee applications is up.
After much debate, soul searching and canvassing the group's decision was to abandon the present secretarial and chairman configuration and replace with a single group convenor. An election was held and Gary Fraser is the first Trainer Group One Convenor to sit in office from 2001 to 2003. Hard luck Gordon C - better luck next time!
Next year's plans:SHO Hospital Inspection letter 7.9.00. – CJS to respond
Contributions to Annual Report – CJS to cobble
M. Thomas – letter – career advice to GPR – CJS to respond affirmatively
Audits
noted there will be full cycle summative assessment audit projects from February 2001, this will require to be done in first six-month job. Brad advised computerised data collection as will make second part of audit easier. The Northumbria failure rate at present is 33%. MJD noted that it is the trainers responsibility to educate the trainee re suitability of their audit to submit.
