Apologies:

Matters arising

Trainee problems

There was much of the usual helpful discussion. Dave Gill commented that he used P2D2 in his terminal appraisal and found it a useful tool to give feedback. It is noted that there are only five and a half trainees in the nine training practices of Trainer Group One. If this rate continues it may have a demoralising and de-skilling effect on the otherwise keen trainers and practices.

Embleton Hall NLP Course 1999

Overspend on course organisation to be made up out of this year's trainer grant. Mike Guy and CJS to arrange repayments.

Course Organiser Report

Gary Fraser has applied for a vacancy so is therefore a proxy course organiser. He reports that there are moves afoot for trainers to supervise Group Two training. It may be the use of fallow trainers so that they are still in receipt of their trainers grant. We hope to get more information at the Trainers Annual Conference.

Future of the group

Midpoint appraisal scheme visit (Charles Dean)

We hope that Charles will send all trainers further information and possibly a template. It was decided that it would be a good idea for this visit to be made before the Embleton Hall meeting of 10th / 11th May. Individual members are to contact each other to find mutually convenient times. Planned visits: Consulting Rooms and Bondgate, Rothbury and Belford, Greystoke and Wellway. Funding Situation: No comments available as Charles Dean not present.

Charles Dean re-appointment visit

David Gill to attend as RCGP delegate.

HTML and Internet Explorer compatibility

Brad explained a lot of this to our edification. It is suggested that we make the September meeting basically a computer training half day.

CD-ROM Tool

Front Page has been purchased and invoices to be sent to Mike Guy. Basically the CD-ROM could benefit from more information. If any members have anything suitable, please contact Brad.
