Calcium and vitamin D therapy

Indication

Dose

Calcium carbonate 1.26mg/Cholecalciferol 5mcg
1 tab twice daily

Contraindications

Hypercalcaemia

Side effects

Anorexia, lassitude, weight loss.
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea.
Polyuria, thirst, vertigo.

Follow-up

Monitor Ca++ levels in high doses or renal impairment.
