- Liver disorders
- Cardiac problems
- Convulsions
- Malnutrition
- Acute infection
- Severe lung disease (benzodiazepine-induced respiratory depression)
- Severe depression
- Suicide risk
- Confusion
- Memory impairment
- Hallucinations
