| Cervical smear suggests | Management |

| Invasion or microinvasion | Large loop excision of transformation zone (LLETZ): may need admission for EUA and staging. |
| Severe dyskaryosis | LLETZ at first visit |
| Moderate dyskaryosis | LLETZ at first visit |

Mild dyskaryosis x2
Postcoital bleeding |
Colposcopic assessment and biopsy.

| Borderline changes or severe inflammation |
Colposcopic assessment and biopsy.

| Pregnancy | Colposcopic assessment still appropriate, but unless suspicion of invasive disease, biopsy can be deferred until 6-8 weeks post delivery. |
