- A close relative is a first degree relative (parent, sib, child) or second degree relative (aunt, uncle, grandparent).
- If there is a strong family history on the paternal side, more distant relationships maybe relevant.
- Affected relatives should be on the same side of the family.
- A lesser family history of cancer may still significantly increase the
risk if the family is of Jewish or non-white ethnic origin. If in
doubt, please discuss with the Clinical Genetics Service. - Sarcoma <45, glioma or childhood adrenal carcinoma may also be relevant.
