The Eastern Borders Citizens Advice Bureau provides a wide ranging, high
quality advice service to people living in and around North Northumberland and
Eastern Borders.
We can give you advice on many problems including:
- Welfare benefits - to ensure you get all the money you are entitled to and
help you with your claim. Consumer Goods and Services - advising you of your
rights and responsibilities as a consumer or a tradesman concerning goods
and services.
- Employment Matters - such as wages owed, holiday pay, redundancy,
dismissal, etc.
- Housing Issues - tenants and landlords rights and responsibilities, rent
agreements, getting repairs done. Family and Personal Matters - Assistance
and advice on things like relationship problems, divorce, neighbour
disputes, etc.
- Legal Matters
- Health Issues - Practical help and signposting with matters involving
health e.g. Incapacity Benefit Appeals.
- Signposting and Local Information - Where? How? What? Who? We also have
certain specialist services:- Money/Debt Advice practical help and support
for repaying debts - large and small.
- Benefit Tribunals - Specialist assistance with preparation for Benefit
appeals. We may be able to offer help with representation.
- Employment Tribunals - Help with employment matters.
