The befriending project provides friendship and support from trained Volunteers for people with Dementia and their Carers.
Befrienders and clients interests are considered and are carefully matched by the Befriending Co-ordinator.
Befrienders usually visit once a week. Visits can be used as a time to read, go for a walk or just enjoy a chat. A referral for a befriender can be made by contacting the branch directly, or through your Doctor or Care manager.
All details are confidential and this service is free.
