After
the Triple and HIB vaccinationMinor symptoms may occur in the first few days after vaccination:
- Fever
- Tenderness
- Off food and milk
If your child becomes hot and irritable you are advised to remove clothing to vest and nappy, to sponge down with tepid water and encourage drinks of fluids. To prevent a high temperature, you may give Paracetamol Paediatric Suspension in the following recommended doses:
- Babies aged 2-3 months - half a teaspoon (2.5m1) every 6 hours.
- Babies aged 3-12 months - one teaspoon (5mls) every 6 hours.
