Self-help Information
Books
This list covers the main self-help material that the Primary Care Mental Health Teams often recommend.
Particularly useful may be: Overcoming Depression- Paul Gilbert and Overcoming Low-Self-Esteem, Melanie Fennell. Both of these are available in the local library.
Some people have also found, Dorothy Rowe (1993) Depression: The Way Out Of Your Prison useful, it looks at depression from more of a counselling perspective rather than CBT.
