Competition training course for under 13 boys and girls
This was held in conjunction with the Cumberland Open Competition on Sunday 27th June 2010 at Trinity School, Carlisle
Aims of the course
The course will help you understand what to expect at a competition, help you prepare and be more confident
You will learn
- what equipment is required and why,
- how the ceding works
- how a competition is run and the format
- what to do and not do on the piste including the salutes
- what preparations you need to make before you go to a competition
- what to do and look for when you arrive at a competition
There will also be a practical experience for Boys and Girls so please bring along any fencing equipment you have (we will have some available in case of any shortages)
Fencing experience is necessary but BFA membership is not required.
2012 Olympic fencing
