Appraisal and revalidation |
Appraisal is a "formative educational development activity". Part of revalidation includes appraisals which the appraiser says are "satisfactory".

The focus of the GMC is on improving quality
Revalidation checks:
Are you up to date?
Are you fit to practice?
Are you safe with patients?
Revalidation is likely to require:
A revalidation folder
Evidence of reflection
No local concerns
All this is the responsibility of the appraisee. The appraisers job is to flag up if revalidation will be a problem.
