Introduction
TACT PMS set voluntary targets in April 2002 for measuring the number of patients with left ventricular systolic dysfunction (LVSD) who were taking an ACE inhibitor. LVSD is measured by ECG/CXR changes or echocardiogram according to a defined protocol.
Standards
- By April 2003, 60% of patients with LVSD should be taking an ACE inhibitor
- By April 2004, 90% of patients with LVSD should be taking an ACE inhibitor
